Terms of Service
By using MageSmith at magesmith.app (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. MageSmith is operated by MagePsycho ("we", "us", "our").
What the Service is
MageSmith is a hosted toolkit for Magento 2 developers: module scaffolding, config diff, code audit, README generation, schema exploration, and certification practice. Everything runs online — there is no downloadable binary.
Your account
- One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
- Provide accurate contact details. If your email bounces, we may suspend the account until it's fixed.
- You can delete your account any time from Settings → Delete account. The deletion is final.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- Attack, reverse-engineer, or reverse-proxy the Service.
- Resell access to the Service or bundle it into a white-labelled offering.
- Store, generate, or distribute content that's illegal, infringing, or harmful.
- Circumvent rate limits or security controls.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate the Service without prior written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules — at our discretion, and without refund for any fees paid (once paid tiers exist).
Free and paid tiers
MageSmith is free to use today. Certain advanced capabilities under Module Generator will roll out on a paid plan in future. Pricing, billing, and refund terms for paid tiers will be published on a separate Pricing page and apply only if you choose to upgrade.
Intellectual property
You own what you generate. Module scaffolds, config diffs, audits, READMEs, and any other output are yours — use them in proprietary, commercial, or open-source projects without restriction.
We own the Service itself. The MageSmith name, logo, source code, templates, documentation, and underlying systems are the property of MagePsycho. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative services from them.
Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service up, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure incidents, or third-party provider outages may cause downtime. No SLA is offered on the free tier.
Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The output of the tools (especially Code Audit, which is LLM-generated) should be reviewed by you before committing to production.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagePsycho will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability under these terms is capped at the fees you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which is zero for free accounts).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify MagePsycho against claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
Termination
Either of us may terminate the agreement at any time. You terminate by deleting your account. We may terminate for breach of these terms, extended inactivity, or if we decide to end the Service — in which case we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after changes go live constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to MagePsycho's operating entity. Disputes not resolved through good-faith discussion will be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction over MagePsycho.
